I recently bought a new Corsair Vengeance prebuilt PC after my old one bit the dust, and I'm having trouble with the Ethernet connection. I'm using the same cable that worked perfectly with my previous PC, but my new setup doesn't seem to recognize it. I've got Wi-Fi working thanks to the built-in chip, but the Ethernet cable is plugged in, and there's no sign of it being detected. Do I need to disable the Wi-Fi to get the Ethernet working? Any suggestions on what to do here would be greatly appreciated!

First off, check your Device Manager and look under Network adapters. You should see an entry for LAN, like 'Gigabit Ethernet' or something similar. If you don't see anything like that, it might indicate a driver issue or the Ethernet card isn't recognized at all. If you see only the Qualcomm and Bluetooth devices, that's a sign your Ethernet isn't being detected properly.
No need to worry about turning off the Wi-Fi; both should work at the same time. Start by verifying the Ethernet cable is functioning—try it on another device if possible. If that's good, consider updating your network drivers. Sometimes a fresh install or update can fix detection issues. Good luck!
