Why isn’t my power bank charging my laptop?

I'm trying to charge my Lenovo LOQ laptop with a 30,000 mAh power bank that has a 65v USB-C output, but it's just not working. I'm heading on a long trip and need to finish some work while I'm on the go. Can anyone help me understand why my laptop isn't charging and if I need anything specific for it to work? Let me know if you need more information from me. Thanks!

What brand is your power bank? Some models have better compatibility with laptops than others. It's important that it supports USB-C charging, too.

It's a Hrebos, but I’m not sure if it supports USB-C charging.

Does your power bank even support USB-C charging? It would help to know the exact model of both your laptop and the power bank to give you a clearer answer.

I’m not too savvy with specs. How do I find the model information?

A lot of gaming laptops need a higher wattage to charge properly. It sounds like your power bank might not output enough power for your laptop. You will probably need a power bank that has around 140W output to charge it effectively. If you're running any demanding tasks, it may not charge at all if the output is too low. Better check that before your trip!

Ouch, that sounds expensive! Is there any chance you can switch to a slow charge mode on your laptop?

Not necessarily true for all gaming laptops! I've got a couple that charge off a 100W PD power bank just fine as long as I'm not gaming heavily.
