One of my clients is facing an odd issue where Outlook (classic) isn't fetching new emails from an IMAP server. She can still receive emails on her iPhone with no problems. The IMAP logs show that Outlook isn't even attempting to pull in the new messages. I've considered removing and re-adding the account as a potential fix, but I'm looking for a more permanent solution. Has anyone else experienced this?

Is this issue a recent development? I've read that some users encounter a 503 error with Outlook in online mode, but it seems more relevant for Exchange users rather than those on IMAP.
Have you tried enabling logging for Outlook? There are options available depending on the version you're using. It might help you figure out what's going wrong with fetching the emails.
Thanks for the suggestion! I checked the docs but noticed the IMAP log file isn’t appearing in the TEMP/Outlook Logging folder. Do you have it showing on your side?
Considering iPhone uses ActiveSync, a good workaround is to create a new Outlook profile without deleting the current one. This helps to isolate the issue. You might also want to log in to a different PC with Outlook to see if the same problem occurs.
IMAP can be troublesome with Outlook. If syncing isn’t essential between devices, switching to POP might work better. Also, check that they’re not using a commercial or home VPN, as those can sometimes interfere.
Yes, this just started happening. However, my client is only using IMAP, not Exchange.
