Why isn’t the audio working on my new PC setup?

I just got a new PC, specifically the MSI AEGIS GAMING DT with a R9-9900X, 32GB RAM, and a 2TB SSD. I'm using a MPG 321URX 32" 4K UHD gaming monitor. I've done all the setup, but there's no sound coming from it. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this issue?

First, have you checked the Device Manager to see if your audio driver is installed correctly? It's also a good idea to visit the MSI website to download the latest audio drivers if they aren't already installed.

Just to clarify, is this your first PC? You might need external speakers or headphones to actually hear any sound! Most monitors won't have built-in speakers unless specifically mentioned.
