Why Won’t My Games Open on My New Gaming PC?

Hey everyone! I just got my first gaming PC, but I'm running into some issues. A few of the games I bought on Steam, like Dead by Daylight, Valorant, and Tiny Glades, won't open at all—they get stuck on the opening screen. I've tried running them as an administrator, but that hasn't helped. My specs are above both the minimum and recommended requirements, so I'm not sure what's going wrong. I even reinstalled the games thinking that might fix it. I thought maybe my WiFi was the problem since it's not great in my room, but Tiny Glades shouldn't require a solid connection, and Outlast Trials works fine even when I play online with friends. Does anyone have any tips or solutions?

Hey! First off, make sure to share your specs; that helps us help you better! Also, a classic first step is checking your graphics drivers—outdated drivers can cause games to crash on launch. You can update them through the manufacturer's website or an app like GeForce Experience if you’re using an NVIDIA GPU.

Is your PC brand new or did you assemble it yourself? Sometimes things can go wrong during assembly, or a new part might be faulty. If you built it yourself, double-check all the connections. If it’s completely new and you had it built by a company, I’d recommend reaching out to their support to see if they can help you troubleshoot.
