I'm trying to use a micro SD card in my small action camera, which is about the size of a thumb. The listing on Amazon clearly states that I need a micro SD card for storage, but the one I bought doesn't fit. I even have an adapter to convert it to a standard size SD card, yet it still won't fit in the slot. I'm really confused about what's going wrong here!

Have you checked if the card is the right size? Sometimes it might be slightly misaligned, so you could try flipping it over and inserting it in a different direction to see if that works.
What model of camera are you using? Some cameras have very specific requirements for compatible cards that could be causing your issue.
It's just a small little action camera, not one of the more advanced models.
Is it possible that there's a dummy SD card in the slot to protect it? Sometimes, manufacturers do that to keep the port safe until the actual card is needed.
Could you share a photo of the card slot? It might help us see what's going wrong.
Here's the link to the slot image: https://preview.redd.it/xyecyfdy5mve1.png?width=425&format=png&auto=webp&s=e4371c62833313cea238c149f1c52b06f3b215e2. There's a little bar in the middle that seems to be blocking the microSD from going in.
In its micro version, the card is too small, and with the adapter, it's too big for the slot. I've tried every orientation and it just doesn't seem to work.
