I recently bought a PNY 5070 graphics card, and I'm having a lot of trouble getting it to work with my G15CX PC. Previously, I had a 2080 Super installed, which worked fine. The 5070 does get a display, but when I try to install the drivers, the system cuts off and fails to function properly again. I've tried using DDU to remove the old drivers while the 2080 is still connected and I've also used the NVIDIA cleanup tool, but these solutions haven't worked. Right now, I'm back to using the 2080 Super. I downloaded the 5070 drivers directly to my desktop before attempting to install them. By the way, my motherboard only supports PCIe 3; could that be causing the issue?

It sounds like you’ve tried a lot already! The PCIe 3.0 shouldn't be a problem for the 5070 since it's backwards compatible. Have you checked if the GPU is properly seated in the PCIe slot? Sometimes, just reseating the card can help. Additionally, ensure your power supply has enough wattage to support the 5070. Lastly, try booting into safe mode to install the drivers as a last resort.
I had a similar issue with my GPU installation. Make sure your Windows version is up to date because outdated systems can cause incompatibility issues. Also, try using a different slot on your motherboard if possible; sometimes certain slots might not work as they should. If possible, see if you can test the 5070 in another PC to rule out any issues with the card itself.
