Why Won’t My PC Boot After Upgrading to a New GPU?

Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my GPU to an RX 9060 XT from an RTX 4060, but now my computer won't boot. I've gone through the hassle of uninstalling drivers in safe mode using DDU, and I've swapped back to the original GPU multiple times—so I know it's something with the new card. I'm getting five short beeps and the VGA light is showing on my Aorus 760 motherboard. Any thoughts? Should I just return the new GPU and try again?

It might help to clear the CMOS or update your BIOS. Those steps can often fix boot issues with new hardware. Have you tried that?

Clearing the CMOS didn’t work for me.

I had a similar issue! I put my old GPU back in and updated the BIOS, and then it booted up fine. Give that a shot; it might solve the booting problem for you!
