Why Won’t My PC Boot with RAM Over 3600MHz?

Hey everyone, I'm having a frustrating issue with my setup. I have a 13600k processor paired with an ASrock B760M-HDV/M.2 motherboard. It all started when my system began crashing and throwing BSOD errors with my Crucial 6000MHz RAM. After some troubleshooting, I switched to different RAM kits and updated the BIOS to the latest version, but I'm still facing problems. I discovered that one memory channel boots at XMP speeds and passes stability tests, while the other channel can't seem to handle anything above 3600MHz. The problematic channel is the one closest to the CPU (A1). Has anyone else faced this issue and could offer some help?

Unless you're using 4 DIMMs or have the wrong slots (make sure you're using A2/B2), this seems to be an issue with the CPU's memory controller. Since you're on a 2 DIMM board, it's likely a CPU issue. You might want to consider an RMA with Intel.

I’m thinking about testing it with another CPU. I’ll keep you updated on what I find!

How many DIMMs are you using? I've had similar issues with my 760M Pro RS after the latest BIOS update. Try lowering the speed and testing for stability again, though 3600MHz does sound pretty low for your setup.

I have 2 DIMMs. I did try lowering the frequency and adjusted the voltage slightly, and I managed to get it up to 4200MHz.
