Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my new PC build. I just put together my first setup with an R7 7800X3D, RTX 5080 GPU, a Corsair RM850E 850W PSU, an AORUS B650 Elite AX V2 motherboard, and 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM.
When I turned it on for the first time, I couldn't get a signal from the GPU's HDMI port, so I switched to the motherboard's HDMI and was able to access the BIOS, install Windows, and everything seemed fine. The problem is, Windows didn't recognize the GPU. I reseated it and restarted the PC, but still no signal from the GPU. Switching back to the motherboard's HDMI resulted in a black screen with no response to keyboard inputs.
After messing around in the BIOS, I removed the GPU and my PC booted up perfectly fine. However, with the GPU back in, I only get a "no input signal" message from the GPU HDMI and a black screen from the motherboard HDMI.
I've tried a lot of things, including:
- Uninstalling and reinstalling the GPU multiple times
- Using different power cables from the PSU to the GPU
- Changing various BIOS settings (like PCIe mode)
- Tweaking secure boot and internal graphics settings
- Reinstalling Windows with and without the GPU
- Performing a BIOS update and CMOS reset
The GPU seems to power on (lights and fans), but the computer won't boot with it installed. When I take it out, everything works perfectly. Does anyone have any advice or has experienced something similar? I'd really appreciate any help!

Have you tried using a different HDMI port or cable? If your monitor supports it, maybe give a DisplayPort cable a shot instead. Sometimes the issue can be with the cable or port itself. Just a thought!
I tried a couple of HDMI cables and different ports on the monitor, but no luck. I'm looking to get a DisplayPort cable at work today, so hopefully that helps!
