I'm having a tough time trying to install Linux alongside Windows on my PC. I previously ran Linux Mint on my Mac through a virtual machine for a couple of months without issues. However, when I boot from a USB stick on my Windows machine, the monitor keeps turning on and off repeatedly. After about a minute, my fans start spinning really fast. I did manage to reach the install screen with Pop OS, but right after I hit enter, the same problem happened. I suspect it might be related to my new RTX 5070 graphics card. Interestingly, the USB works fine on my brother's laptop. Here are my specs: GPU - RTX 5070, CPU - Ryzen 7 5700, Motherboard - MSI B550 gaming GEN3, and RAM - 32GB. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Just to clarify, what are the specific specs of the PC you're trying to install Linux Mint on? If it’s an Intel-based Mac, it should generally handle any distro well. If it’s an Apple Silicon Mac, it could be a bit trickier. You might have good luck asking for help in communities focused on Linux installation on Macs!
It sounds like a frustrating issue! Have you considered looking at some installation tips? Make sure to connect your PC directly to an ethernet cable for a smoother process, and don’t forget to remove the install media once you’re done. This can sometimes help with boot issues. Good luck!
Thanks for the tip! I just updated my post with the specs.
