Hey everyone, I recently upgraded my GPU to a 5090 OC, which significantly increased my power needs. I changed my power supply from a 750w to a 1050w unit, but after connecting everything, my PC won't start. When I plugged the cables back into the old PSU, the fans whir for a second, and an unrelated USB drive lights up, but nothing else happens. I'm not very experienced with computer wiring, so I'm worried it might be a simple error. Any advice?

First off, what models are your power supplies? Sometimes, mixing modular cables from different brands can cause issues. If you'd swapped the cables around, it might be worth double-checking that everything's connected properly. If you're unsure about modular cables, they are the ones that you can detach and rearrange from your PSU. Just make sure that you're using the right ones for that specific model!
I have to admit, I'm not sure about modular cables either. The new PSU is a Toughpower GF A3 1050W, and I had to switch some cables because they didn’t fit. Should I replace all of them?
