Hey everyone! I have a bit of a silly question, but I'm considering buying an RTX 5070 GPU (founder's edition) at a great price. Since I can't upgrade my entire PC right now, I'm wondering if it will fit with my current motherboard, which is an Asus Z390-P. PCPartPicker says it's compatible, but I'm mainly concerned about the length of the GPU. Oh, and I have an 800W power supply to support it. Thanks in advance for your help!

Definitely not a stupid question! Your motherboard will handle the GPU as long as the PCIe slot is the right fit. The crucial part is the size of your case. Check the specific dimensions of the 5070 and make sure it’ll fit in your setup!

No such thing as a stupid question! It’s true that motherboards are pretty universal when it comes to GPUs. Just make sure your case is large enough to accommodate the card. Measure the GPU dimensions and compare them with your case to be safe.

You don't need to worry about the motherboard's size; it's actually your case size that matters! The 5070 FE is a relatively compact card, so as long as your case has enough room, you should be good to go.
