Will a 5080 GPU Work with My Custom PC?

Hey everyone! I'm new to this and I have a custom-built PC that currently has a 3080 graphics card. Assuming the 5080 card fits in my case and I have enough power supply (1000W), will it work with my setup? Is there anything specific I should verify before making the switch?

It will technically run in any PC with a PCIe slot, but make sure your other components can handle it too. If you have an older CPU, like an i7-920, it might bottleneck the performance, so it's good to check your CPU and motherboard as well.

From what you've shared, it sounds like the 5080 should fit since it uses the same PCIe slot as your old card, and your 1000W PSU should provide enough power. It should definitely work! Just double-check the physical space and any necessary power connectors.

Absolutely, it should be fine! The 5080 requires at least a 750W PSU, so you're in the clear. Just make sure to install the proper drivers once you swap it out.

Don't forget to check your PSU for the right connectors! Make sure you have enough PCIe or 12V power ready for the new card, and that it fits your case without issues.

Can you share more about your CPU and other specs? While I don't see any major issues, we should ensure everything is balanced so you're not missing out on the 5080's potential.
