I'm building my first PC and considering pairing a Ryzen 5 5600X with an RX 9600 XT. I'm wondering if I might run into issues with bottlenecking or under-performance, especially when gaming at 1080p and 1440p. Is this a solid choice for a mid-range setup within a $900 budget?

From my experience with a 5900X paired with a 4070 Ti, I’d suggest considering a more powerful CPU if your budget allows. But otherwise, for what you're aiming to play, you should be fine with the 5600X, just a bit of a bottleneck in certain games like COD might happen.

Exactly! Some games will feel smoother with a stronger CPU, but for the games you're eyeing, it'll work well enough.

You're likely fine! The R5 5600X will still deliver solid FPS in most games. It’s not going to limit your GPU significantly, so you should get good performance across the board.

I use a Ryzen 5 5600X with an RX 9700 non-XT, and it performs wonderfully at 1440p on high to ultra settings. I consistently see my GPU utilized above 95% during gameplay, which is great! You should be good to go with your pairing.

I had a 5600X with a 4070 Super and had no issues at 1440p. So, you shouldn't have any worries with your setup either. It should perform well!
