I'm using a B450M motherboard with a Ryzen 5 5600 and I'm planning to play some light and older games at 1080p, along with doing some artwork. I'm wondering if the RTX 5060 will have performance issues on a PCIe 3.0 motherboard. Also, will my DDR4 RAM be sufficient for the next five years? I considered getting a 3060, but it's only $50 cheaper than the 5060, and considering the 3060's age, I want something more updated. Any insights on potential drastic issues?

If you're considering alternatives, the 9060 XT might be worth looking at since it utilizes the full 16 lanes on PCIe. It could outperform the 5060 in certain situations, but make sure to check current prices in your area before deciding!
Generally, you'll lose minimal performance with the RTX 5060 running on PCIe 3.0. The key issue comes into play if you run out of VRAM, which can lead to significant frame drops due to bandwidth limitations. Just be mindful of VRAM and you should be good!
In my region, the 9060 XT is actually more expensive and harder to find compared to Nvidia cards. Why is it considered better?
