I'm planning to get an RX 9060 XT 16GB for my MPG Z490 Gaming Plus motherboard, as I've heard it works great on PCIe 3.0 systems. I want to know if I should install an NVMe SSD in the same slot as the GPU or if that will slow down the RX 9060 XT. Would it be better to use a different slot for the NVMe?

I get your concern about bandwidth! But typically, your GPU won't slow down just because you have an NVMe SSD. They operate independently. Just check your motherboard manual for the ideal slots to use. It’s also important to check if your M.2 slots share bandwidth with any PCIe slots, but if set up correctly, you should be good to go!
To clarify, the motherboard has separate slots for NVMe drives, so you won't be putting an NVMe in the same slot as your GPU. The RX 9060 XT should run perfectly fine without any speed issues from an NVMe SSD since they use different interfaces. Just make sure to use the proper M.2 slots for the SSD.
