I'm curious if the MSI B650M Project Zero motherboard will cause any performance issues with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor. I don't plan on overclocking anytime soon, so I want to know if there's any risk of a bottleneck in normal use.

Motherboards generally don't bottleneck CPUs unless the VRMs are super weak and can’t supply enough power. Thankfully, that’s not really an issue with AM5 motherboards, since these chips don't draw a lot of power.
What about using a PCI-e 4.0 slot with an RTX 5080? Should I be looking for a motherboard that has PCI-e 5.0 instead?
