Will My PC Build Last for Gaming Over the Next 5 Years?

I'm putting together a PC and I'm wondering if the specs I have will be enough to run games at normal or high settings for the next 4-5 years. Here's what I'm planning to use:
-Ryzen 7 7700
-RTX 5070 (I was considering the 9070, but I think the extra $250 isn't worth it)
-G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB DDR5-6000 CL30 (2x16 GB)
-RM850x 850W power supply
-MAG B650M MORTAR WIFI motherboard
-Samsung 990 Pro 1TB SSD
-Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE cooler.
Do you think this setup will hold up for the next few years? Any advice?

Does the RTX 5070 have 8GB? Because if it's the 12GB model, you're in even better shape!

I'd look into the RTX 9070 again if it's around $600 in your area. While it's hard to predict five years ahead with the rapid upgrades in gaming tech, your current build should be pretty solid.

It really depends on the games you play. Some folks with older setups are still enjoying their games just fine, while others with top-tier cards like the RTX 4090 find themselves needing frequent upgrades to keep up with new releases.

Yeah, I think you’re in a good spot! If you can grab a 16GB card, that’ll definitely help with longevity, especially with the new console generation pushing the envelope.
