Will This Computer Setup Handle Heavy Multitasking Well?

I'm considering buying a new computer mainly for my work needs. I usually have 15 to 30 browser tabs open simultaneously for tasks such as Google Docs, Sheets, and some light photo editing or video calls. I've come across a potential setup that features an Intel Core i7 (4th generation), 16GB RAM, and a 1TB hard drive. I'm not very tech-savvy when it comes to hardware, so I'm looking for some advice. Will this configuration be able to manage multitasking smoothly? I'd really appreciate your insights before I make my purchase. Thanks in advance!

Honestly, 4th gen i7 is a bit outdated for multitasking. You might be better off with a newer processor if you're planning to keep this machine for a while.

I would advise against asking for recommendations on hardware. Also, having 30 browser tabs open isn't as crazy as it sounds, especially if you're juggling multiple tasks for different clients. Some of us just work that way!

30 tabs don't feel that strange to me either. I have to keep lots of projects open at once, and it's just easier than constantly switching things around.

You might want to check if that 1TB is an SSD or a traditional hard drive. The 4th generation Intel chip is quite old (around 12 years), which might not be compatible with Windows 11 and its support for Windows 10 is ending soon. While it can still manage your tasks, it might not be the best choice for heavy multitasking.

It's a hard drive, but I'm considering switching to an SSD if I go for this setup. Thanks for the heads up about the Intel generation; I was mainly focused on the RAM and storage!
