Will Two 128GB RAM Kits Work with My Setup?

I'm looking to buy two RAM kits of 128GB each, totaling 256GB, specifically this one: https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-5600MHz-5200MHz-Compatible-CP2K64G56C46U5/dp/B0DSR5P84D?th=1. I'd like to install them on an AsRock X870E Taichi motherboard along with a Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor. Is this combination going to work smoothly? I've searched for a 4 DIMM RAM kit of 256GB, but I can't find any available locally and the maximum I can get is 192GB. I'd prefer to buy something local for warranty reasons. Are there any potential issues I should be aware of? Thanks for your guidance!

Woah, AsRock with a 9950X3D? I guess some people never learn... Just keeping it real here.

Yes, it could potentially work, but it might be unstable. If you run into issues, you might want to lower the speed manually to around 4800 MHz. Just curious, what do you need 256GB of RAM for?

It should work, but don't be surprised if you can't reach the advertised speed of 5600MHz. DDR5 can get pretty unstable when using two sticks per channel. AMD officially lists the 9950X3D memory controller at 3600MHz for dual rank sticks. If you don't really need 256GB, consider just using two sticks to keep the other slots free. This can help you achieve better RAM performance. If you need that much RAM, you might be better off looking into higher-end server or workstation setups.

Are you planning on doing heavy productivity work? While it might run, it's generally not recommended since 256GB can strain the CPU's memory controller and is likely to be unstable at the advertised speeds. You might need to stick with JEDEC profiles for stability.
