I'm currently gaming with a 3070 GPU, Ryzen 7 5800X CPU, and 16GB of RAM, primarily at 1440p. I'm considering doubling my RAM and wanted to know how much of a difference it could make for gaming. Have any of you experienced a noticeable change after upgrading your RAM?

Check how much RAM you're using while gaming. If you're hitting the limit, adding more RAM will definitely help boost your performance. If you're not maxing out, then it probably won't make much difference.

If you decide to upgrade, it's better to go for 2x16GB sticks instead of adding more 8GB sticks. Ryzen tends to perform better with dual-channel configurations, and having just 2 sticks can help optimize speeds.

For most games, you might not see a huge difference unless you're maxing out your RAM. However, if you use other applications like browsers or chat programs while gaming, more RAM could really help with smoothness.

It really depends on your current usage. If you’re not running out of memory during gameplay, you likely won’t notice much improvement. But if you do multitask with other applications open, more RAM can definitely help.

From my experience, having more RAM can speed up your PC significantly, especially if you're running multiple applications at once. I've noticed that the key is to avoid hitting your RAM limit, as that can cause your system to slow down when it starts using the pagefile.
