I'm considering upgrading my GPU from a 3070 to an RTX 5080, but I'm currently using an AM4 motherboard with a Ryzen 7 5800X CPU, which may not be the best for performance. I have 32GB of DDR4 RAM, but since I just noticed the RAM prices are pretty steep, I'm wondering if I can simply upgrade to the 5080 without also changing my CPU, motherboard, or RAM. Will my current setup bottleneck the performance?

You're all set with the 5080 on your current rig! Just keep an eye on your power supply's rating and how it performs after the upgrade.
And don’t stress it too much; having a Ryzen 7 is still a great choice for gaming!
Upgrade should be smooth. Your CPU may hold back some frames, but it’s still really good! It’s better than what many gamers have out there.
That's right! As long as you're aware that you might need to tweak some settings, you'll enjoy the 5080.
Totally! Plus, you can always think about upgrading the CPU later on if needed.
You can definitely use the 5080 with your setup. Just keep in mind that if you're gaming at 1080p, your CPU might limit your frame rates. But if you're fine with how it plays, go for the upgrade! Just ensure your PSU is at least 750W to support the power needs.
Yup, it's true. Your CPU is still more than enough for most games right now.
And at higher resolutions, like 4K, you should see a nice performance boost!
Upgrading to the 5080 should work just fine with your current CPU. It really depends on the games you play and at what settings. If you're not experiencing significant stutters or very low GPU utilization, you might not notice much difference. Just monitor your performance after the upgrade to see if everything runs smoothly!
Exactly! Just check if your GPU is running at close to 100% utilization. If it is, then you should be good.
And don’t forget to check your power supply! Make sure it can handle the new GPU’s demands.

Sounds about right. Better to check before you plug things in.
