I'm using Windows 11 Pro (Version 25H2, OS build 26200.8246) on my personal home computer, and suddenly, Windows Security quarantined an application I've relied on for several years, marking it as 'removed' in Protection History with a risk level of SEVERE. I attempted to restore the app by clicking on the SEVERE warning, but it hasn't returned to my start menu. Although Windows Security claims it has been restored, I still can't find it. Additionally, I can't add the application as an exclusion in Virus & Threat Protection because it says that the option has been disabled by my administrator. But I'm the sole user and admin of this machine! I need help figuring out how to get my app back to normal. Can anyone assist?

Just to be cautious, make sure that the application isn’t a potential malware. If you downloaded it from a trusted source, it should be fine, but checking wouldn’t hurt.
Have you signed into any websites or applications using a work or school email? This can sometimes trigger unexpected admin settings on personal devices.
What app are we talking about here? If it’s a legitimate one, you might be dealing with a false positive from Windows Security. It could be worth checking the developer's site for any recent issues.
