My idea is to create a small badge in email clients like Gmail and Outlook that indicates whether a sender is legit, unknown, or suspicious. This badge would not block or filter any emails; it's just meant to give users a heads-up. I've been building a comprehensive database of trusted domains manually, and the badge would also check important email verification standards like DKIM, SPF, and DMARC, plus some basic content analysis. There's even an option for AI analysis if deeper checks are necessary, but rest assured, the email content remains encrypted during the process. I'm trying to get feedback from developers on whether this feature would actually be useful or if it's just another tool that sounds good but might not get much use. Honestly, I don't see the need for it. Seems like Gmail already does the job by marking suspicious emails as spam, so adding a badge feels redundant to me.
