I just installed Linux Mint on my Acer Aspire laptop, but it seems to be missing the Wi-Fi driver. I need guidance on how to find and install this driver since I can't directly transfer files without an FTP setup involving my phone and my Nintendo 3DS SD card. Can anyone help me understand if this is feasible and where I could find the necessary driver files?

Just a heads up, when you're troubleshooting issues like this, always include details like your specific hardware and any error messages you see. It really helps the community assist you better! But to directly address your issue, since you're on the latest version of Mint, if your card isn't recognized, you might need to download the driver on another device and transfer it manually. Also, try checking the network manager to see if there's any options that you're missing.

It sounds like you're running into some common issues with Wi-Fi drivers. The first step is to identify your Wi-Fi card. You can do this by opening the terminal and typing "lspci". If it turns out you have a Mediatek Wi-Fi card, there might be known compatibility issues. Also, if you have a smartphone, try using USB tethering to get an internet connection directly on your laptop, which can make driver installation easier.
