Tips for My First PC Build

Hey everyone! I'm diving into building my very first PC since I've always relied on laptops. I've assembled a list of parts that I believe will suit my needs. My primary goals are to have a future-proof setup for occasional gaming and software development. I've got a budget of around $2000 CAD and would really appreciate any feedback on my build. Here's my parts list: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/nyLgh7. I'm aware that my GPU may be a bit over the top for the CPU, but I'm considering spending an extra $200–$300 for the latest model. Looking forward to your suggestions! Thanks in advance!

One suggestion I'd make is to go for an 850W power supply or higher, especially if you plan on upgrading your components later. It'll give you more headroom for future needs!

You might want to consider the Ryzen 5 9600X for your CPU. It offers a solid performance boost without a huge price jump, which could be a great balance for your build.
