Best Lightweight Linux Distro for an Old Laptop?

I'm looking to revive my really old laptop running Windows 10, which is becoming bloated. I'd like some recommendations for a lightweight yet visually appealing Linux distro. I've heard good things about Zorin Lite OS, but there are rumors that it might be discontinued soon. My laptop currently has 2GB of RAM (though I'll upgrade to 4GB soon) and a mixture of HDD and SSD. I've previously used Linux Mint for months but I'm hoping to find something that's a bit more aesthetic. Any suggestions?

I use MX Linux on my old 2007 laptop, and it's been working perfectly for me! It's pretty customizable and user-friendly, so you might find it suits your needs.

Keep in mind that 2GB of RAM is quite limited. While MX Linux and Antix can work well on lower specs, don't expect the best browsing experience. You might want to consider upgrading your RAM when you can to get the most out of any distro you choose.

You might want to give Fedora LXQt a shot. It's lightweight, and you can customize the themes to really make it look nice.

If you're happy with Mint but want to change the look, you don't necessarily need a new distro. You can switch to a different desktop environment like GNOME, KDE, or XFCE. That way, you can keep Mint while making it visually appealing!
