Hey folks! I'm feeling a bit embarrassed to admit that I got tricked by a "try my game" scam from a hacked Discord account. I suspect there's malware on my computer now. Here's what I've done so far: I disconnected my Wi-Fi, changed some passwords, and created a new Discord account linked to a fresh email. I also called my bank about it, all from my phone. The thing is, I downloaded the .exe file on one computer, but I also visited the site with the download on another computer. Is that second computer at risk too?

A more extreme suggestion would be to leave the malware on the computer—just keep your personal info safe. Then you could set a trap like "free money" bait to reverse the scam. Just kidding, don't actually do this!
Just to be sure, executables don’t auto-run unless you execute them, so if you only downloaded the file and didn’t run it, you’re likely okay. Still, do your research and stay vigilant!
Reinstalling Windows using a USB stick is your best bet now. Make sure to change all your passwords and enable two-factor authentication. Also, check for any unknown devices on your accounts to be safe!
Wow, I had a similar experience! I even screen shared with the scammer, thinking it was safe, but they didn't set things up right. Lesson learned—be careful who you trust, no matter how familiar they seem. I'd recommend formatting your hard drive, reinstalling everything, and changing your passwords right away.
Lol, that's a bit extreme! Definitely not my style!
