How Do I Set My Pricing for Website Development?

I've been creating simple HTML websites for a while now and I recently had a small business reach out to me about building one for them. They know it will be a straightforward HTML website with some interactive design. I'm really unsure about how to figure out my pricing for this job. Any advice?

A good starting point is to decide how much you want to earn per hour. Then estimate how long the project will take. It’s smart to add about 15-20% on top of that to account for unexpected challenges or profit margins. For example, if you charge $10 an hour and think the project will take around 100 hours, you'd end up with something like $1,200 after adding the buffer.

Just a heads up, you should really consider charging more than $10 an hour. Your work deserves to be valued higher, no matter where you’re located.

Thanks for the advice, that really clarifies things!
