Is a 650W Power Supply Sufficient for My PC Build?

I'm a total newbie looking to build my first PC and I'm considering a Ryzen 5 9600X CPU paired with an RX 9060 XT GPU. I checked on PCPartPicker, and it indicates that the build would use around 350 watts, which makes me think that a 650-watt power supply should be sufficient, right? What do you guys think?

Using an online power supply calculator could be helpful. For example, check out the Newegg or MSI power supply calculators. Just plug in your build details, and it should give you a good estimate without needing to buy from them.

Thanks for the resource! I just entered my parts and they suggested 500-599 watt usage. 650 should be fine then?

You're definitely fine with a quality PSU. The RX 9060 XT isn't a power-hungry card, usually around 185W.

Yeah, 650W sounds like it's more than enough! Just keep in mind that under full load, the system might pull a bit more than that 350W figure. It's good to have some headroom, though!

Thanks! Yeah, I figured that much lmao.

Just a heads-up: a PSU can last around 10 years. I usually upgrade my GPU a few times during that period. So, it's wise not to buy a PSU just for your current GPU; consider getting a 750W or even 850W for future upgrades.
