How Can I Fix Frequent BSOD with IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Errors?

I recently upgraded my PC and have been experiencing random Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) errors since early June, specifically with the code "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL." I've tried updating the drivers, and I had one missing driver which I fixed, but it hasn't resolved the BSOD issue. I also scanned my RAM and didn't find any hardware issues. The crashes happen unexpectedly, even when I'm not doing anything intensive. I attempted using Bluescreenview, but I'm not sure how to interpret the results. I read online that it might be related to unauthorized memory usage, but I'm not keen on wiping everything unless absolutely necessary. I'd love some advice on how to tackle this without going that far. I also have DMP error files if that helps.

It's also a good idea to ensure your BIOS is up to date. If you can access the BIOS settings without any issues like glitches or freezes, head to your motherboard's manufacturer website, look for the latest update (like version 7B86vHN for MSI boards), and install it. After that, download the latest AMD Chipset Drivers as well. These updates can help stabilize your system, so check if the crashes continue afterwards.

Thanks for the tip! What if my BIOS version is from 2020? Would it be safe to update directly to the latest version? I'm a bit nervous about making any changes, so I want to make sure I'm doing it right.

It should be fine to update to the latest version if you don’t encounter any stability issues during the update process. Just follow the instructions carefully, and don't hesitate to rollback if things go south. It's definitely worth a shot to help curb those crashes!

To get a better grasp on your BSOD issues, you'll need to collect the dump files, which can give us crash logs from the BSODs. If you can boot into Windows normally or via Safe Mode, check your C:WindowsMinidump folder for any dump files. If you find them, zip that folder and upload it to a file-sharing site like mediafire.com or catbox.moe. You can also follow a guide to change your dump settings to create small memory dumps, which could give us more info going forward.
