Hey everyone, I'm looking for some advice on which RTX 5080 graphics card to go for. I have a few options in mind and I'd love to get your thoughts on how they rank in terms of performance. Here are the cards I'm considering:
- MSI GeForce RTX 5080 Gaming Trio - £1,199.99
- Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 WINDFORCE - £1,149.99
- MSI GeForce RTX 5080 Ventus 3X OC - £979.99
- Zotac GeForce RTX 5080 Solid Core OC - £999.95
Any insights would be much appreciated! Thanks!

A tier list might not be super helpful. Think about what matters to you the most: Do you want performance uplift, sticking to a budget, or worrying about size and aesthetics? I asked myself those questions before picking my RTX 5080, targeting 1440p gaming with high FPS and 16GB VRAM. The differences are usually marginal (1-5%), so it’s really about what you prioritize!
Honestly, most of these cards are pretty close in performance, within 1-3% of each other. If you're focused on noise and overclocking, go for the ones with bigger coolers. The Gaming Trio is a solid choice for overclocking capabilities, but if you're on a budget, just grab the cheapest one that fits your needs!
Zotac definitely stands out for me! I'd go with them for reliability and performance.
I’d recommend the Zotac Solid Core as it's likely to offer better cooling compared to the Ventus, which is just okay for temp management. If you don’t mind spending a little more, it’s worth it!
If we ignore price, which would you say is better: the 5080 Gaming Trio or the Zotac Solid Core? Appreciate your thoughts!
Aorus cards tend to be higher bin options. If you're looking for premium performance, they might be worth considering.

Thanks for the input! A friend said something similar, good to know I’m on the right track.
