I'm curious if it's possible to successfully install Gentoo as a total newcomer to Linux. I've heard a lot about it and find it really interesting, but I'm not sure if I'd be able to handle the installation process without prior experience. What do you think?

Absolutely! If you've got the patience and don't mind reading through documentation, you can definitely install Gentoo. Just be prepared for a learning curve and lots of reading.
If you’ve managed to install Arch manually, you can handle Gentoo without much trouble. The installation process is similar, so it’s definitely doable!
Honestly, it might be a bit tricky if you're completely new. It helps to have some basic understanding of how to use and install other easier Linux distributions first. I suggest trying something like Arch Linux next. Doing it manually will give you a good foundation, making Gentoo's installation a bit easier if you decide to go for it later on.
That sounds like solid advice! I might give Arch a shot first before diving into Gentoo.
