Is the 5060 Better Than the 2070 Super for My Setup?

I'm looking to upgrade my GPU, but I'm not sure if the 5060 is really an upgrade compared to my current 2070 Super. I'm limited to 1080p on my TV with a 60Hz refresh rate, so I'm curious if moving from the 2070 Super to the 5060 is worth it, or if they're pretty much the same performance-wise. What do you guys think?

I'd say the 5060 has about a 14% performance increase over the 2070 Super. If you can stretch your budget, look into the 5060 Ti with 16GB—it's about 25% faster and will give you way more VRAM. Just keep in mind that the 16GB versions might be tough to find at a reasonable price right now.

Yeah, that’s the catch. The 16GB 5060 Ti is often sold out at retail price and can go for around $450. If you find a good deal and it fits your budget, it may be worth it. But if not, the standard 5060 could still be your best bet.

Upgrading to the 5060 is definitely a step up, but remember, it's still an 8GB card, which could limit performance in the future. If you're open to AMD, the 9060 XT with 16GB VRAM might be a better option. For Nvidia, the 16GB version of the 5060 Ti is solid too—both will significantly boost your gaming experience.

What’s the price difference between those options?

The 5060 is roughly 5% faster than the 2070 Super. Personally, I think it's not really worth the upgrade, especially with the 8GB VRAM limit if you're considering long-term use. Also, avoid 8GB GPUs if you can since they might not hold up well in a couple of years.
