I'm planning to switch from an Intel i7 13th gen to a Ryzen 7800X3D for a gaming performance boost, but I've never built with AMD before. What motherboard do you all recommend for this CPU? I'm open to any price range as I just want the best option available.

If you're looking for a solid choice, a B650 motherboard should do the trick. You could also consider the X670E Taichi or Godlike, but those can get quite pricey and might not be worth the investment for just gaming.
What makes the X670E boards not worth it? They seem to be around $350.
