I'm building my first PC and I've been looking into parts for a couple of weeks now. While I'm pretty new to this whole process, I have gathered some info from various sources. I'm aiming for a budget of around $800, and I came across the RX 6600. However, I was advised to consider the RX 9060 XT instead, as it supposedly offers much better performance. Since I know the GPU is a crucial part of a gaming build, is it worth it to save about $80 and go with the older RX 6600? Just for reference, I plan to play games like Fortnite, Sims 4, Valorant, and The Last of Us Part 1 and 2.

If you're looking at the 9060 XT, make sure to check if it's the 8GB or 16GB model. If the 16GB version is only $80 more, definitely go for it! But if the price difference is more substantial, it might hinge on what games you're mainly playing.
For gaming, you really shouldn't cut corners on the GPU. It’s definitely one of the most crucial components. If you're considering a used GPU, that might also be a viable option!

Totally agree! If the 16GB is just a small upgrade, it's a no-brainer. That extra VRAM can really help with demanding games.
