Hey folks! I'm working on a project where I need to clone an operating system along with all its applications and settings to several different computers in a school lab. So far, I've been using Clonezilla successfully for machines that share the same hardware. However, I've hit a snag with some PCs that have different hardware configurations (like different motherboards and CPUs).
When I try to use Sysprep to generalize the image before cloning, I keep encountering this error:
"Sysprep_Clean_Validate_Opk: Audit mode cannot be turned on if reserved storage is in use..."
(Error code: 0x800F0975)
I'm looking for advice or solutions on how to properly clone an OS with its applications and settings to machines that aren't all identical in their hardware setup. Any tips, tools, or workflows would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You might want to consider using a Fog server instead of Clonezilla. Depending on your different hardware setups, it might work better for you. If you only have a few variations in hardware, one workaround could be to create separate images for each kind of configuration you have.
It sounds like the audit mode could be causing your issues since it's meant for configuring the default profile before imaging. You might want to double-check your unattend file. There’s a specific setting that makes the computer enter audit mode, and it can create problems when you're sysprepping for an image. Check out this Microsoft documentation on it for clarity: [Deployment Reseal Mode](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/customize/desktop/unattend/microsoft-windows-deployment-reseal-mode). You probably want to avoid that setting for your case.
