Hey everyone! I'm looking for some help finding a place to host a demo WordPress site. Just to give a bit of context, I'm currently in a tough spot—I'm disabled, unemployed, and living in a shelter. So, I can't afford any hosting services, even if they're cheap. Ideally, I want a space where I can build a sample site to show potential clients. Here are my must-haves: no intrusive ads, the ability to work freely with files, a fast enough server to demonstrate WordPress optimization, a clean subdomain, and it should be recognized by developers. And of course, it needs to be completely free. Any recommendations would really mean a lot to me. Thanks in advance! ❤️

WP Local has a feature that allows you to share a live link without any deployment. Check it out—it's user-friendly and perfect for demos!
Yeah, it's super handy for quick sharing!
Consider hosting it locally on your machine and using Tailscale to expose it to the web. It’s a little different but can be effective!
Netlify can also serve your needs if you’re looking for something simple and free! Just keep in mind it's not specialized for WordPress, but it can work for demos.
You might want to check out free-for.dev. It's a great resource with various options for hosting on the fly!
I know someone who offered free hosting in exchange for referrals. I get why it can be seen as predatory sometimes, but not everyone has bad intentions. If you find a good person willing to do that, it could help without any pressure, just consider it carefully!
Yeah, it’s a tricky situation! I hope you find a good option that works without any strings attached.
Thanks for the encouragement! I'm just trying to figure out what’s best for me right now.
I didn't know they had that! Thanks for the heads up.
