I'm using Ubuntu 24.01 with GNOME, and I've been getting into ricing my system. I've made some changes in the terminal, but now I'm curious about how to rice my desktop environment. Specifically, I want to know if I can completely remove the GNOME desktop environment and switch to using a window manager instead. If that's possible, could someone explain how to do it? Also, I'd love some recommendations on which window managers are the best to use and any tips for ricing them!

I recommend against fully removing GNOME. You can actually use a window manager alongside GNOME. This way, you get the versatility of a window manager without losing the functionalities of GNOME completely.

Could you share some resources on how I can do that while also adding a touch of ricing?
