I'm completely new to IT and have been trying to set up Windows 11 on UTM during my free time. I'm teaching myself the basics and using ChatGPT to help with daily help desk tasks, but I'm running into a lot of issues. For example, I attempted to ping google.com in the command prompt, and it returned 'request timed out,' even though my internet was clearly working. I've followed ChatGPT's advice but nothing seemed to help. I'm wondering if I should have gone to school for this, or if there are better ways to learn. I'm a total beginner and would appreciate any tips! By the way, I've also watched the entire Professor Messer CompTIA A+ series.
