Hey everyone! I'm interested in hearing from those who are currently working as interns or full-time engineers. How many LeetCode or similar coding problems did you tackle before landing your job offer? Do you feel that practice on these platforms really helped you secure your position? And do you keep solving problems even after gaining employment in the industry? I'm just trying to get a realistic perspective on the effort needed and whether ongoing practice is beneficial once you're already in the field. Thanks for your insights!

Honestly, I didn't solve any LeetCode problems at all. It’s strange that this has become such a big topic.
I didn't solve any LeetCode questions before landing my first job. What helped me was networking and having a solid GitHub portfolio to show my coding skills. I also had a degree, but I think connecting with people made the bigger difference for me.
So essentially, real-life experience and networking matter more than just solving problems online?
I’m quite surprised by how many people responded with zero! I guess the landscape of hiring has changed a lot in recent years.
I’m also in the zero club. I’ve never even visited LeetCode. From my experience, the interviews I had didn't rely on these types of questions; instead, they were more practical coding tests.
It seems like a lot of us are saying zero! I didn't even know what LeetCode was until a couple of years into my career. It's refreshing to hear that it’s not a requirement for many jobs.
Zero for me too! LeetCode just seems like a game. I'd rather focus on learning actual frameworks and best practices that are more valuable in real-world programming.
I've been in this game since the 90s and never touched LeetCode. I focus on real coding skills over those types of problems.
That’s interesting! I actually landed my job by showcasing a game and a painting program I built. Didn't matter that I was driving a cab at the time; what matters is being able to demonstrate your skills.
