Trying to Switch Back to Windows—Any Help?

Hey everyone! I've been really struggling with Linux, even though I've given it my best shot. I tried using Linux Mint because it's supposed to be beginner-friendly, but I'm just not getting the hang of it. I'm not very tech-savvy, and I can't even figure out how to open an .exe file on Linux. I've spent hours searching for tutorials that cater to beginners like me, but it feels like a total nightmare. Honestly, I've been feeling pretty defeated and even shed a few tears over this. I'm ready to switch back to Windows and would really appreciate any help or steps to do this successfully.

Just a heads up, switching back to Windows means you'll lose some Linux habits. Windows uses .exe files, while Linux has its own software management. If you're adapting back, just remember it might take some time to get used to it again! Definitely check Microsoft's site for ISO downloads. Good luck!

Making the switch is pretty straightforward! First, download the Windows ISO and make a bootable USB. You can use Microsoft’s tool for this. Then, when you're ready, just change the boot order in your BIOS to boot from the USB drive. Follow the installation prompts, and you'll be back on Windows in no time!

Hey, don't beat yourself up! Everyone struggles with switching OSes. Just find a guide on 'install Windows on PC'—there are loads out there. Ideal to have your Windows key saved, but if not, it’s not the end of the world. You'll get through this!

Linux doesn't natively run .exe files, so that's part of your trouble. To switch back to Windows, you'll want to create a bootable USB drive using a tool like Ventoy. Just download the Windows ISO file, put it on the USB, and then boot from it to install Windows. Simple as that! Good luck!

Check out Microsoft's official page on reinstalling Windows. It’s got detailed instructions that should help you out. Just be aware that switching back means you’ll want to have those Windows keys handy, so make sure you’ve got that sorted!
