I'm building my first PC and trying to keep the total cost around $900. I'm already set on the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X CPU, but I'm a bit worried about the motherboard. I found an ASRock B850 motherboard for about $130, but I've heard mixed reviews about it and don't know if I can trust it. I've been looking to upgrade over time more than anything, since I mainly play Oldschool Runescape, which doesn't need much power. Any advice or thoughts on my build would be greatly appreciated! ASRock has a good reputation lately for their motherboards, pretty reliable stuff. For your budget, this build looks solid, unless you want to consider some used components to save a few bucks.
Overall, your build looks great. If it were me, I'd probably go for an NVIDIA GPU over Intel, but honestly, I'm not too familiar with Intel’s offerings either.
I tend to stick with Nvidia from my past prebuilt systems, but the Arc B580 fits well within my budget.
Your motherboard should do just fine. Just a heads up though, since it's mATX, it might feel a bit cramped in the case. Also, keep in mind it only has a couple of M.2 slots and limited USB ports.
Yeah, I noticed that too! I might need to rethink the case design.
Interesting! I hadn't heard much about ASRock before starting this build.
