Hey folks! I'm working on a mobile app where I need to pull in information about various places like restaurants, coffee shops, and clubs. Initially, I considered using the Google Places API. However, the pricing and the limitation on storing data for more than 24 hours really don't work for my budget. So, I'm on the lookout for other APIs that can deliver similar functionality. If anyone has suggestions for alternatives or ways to work around using Google's API, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks a lot!

Mapbox is a strong competitor to Google. Many ride-sharing apps and services like that make good use of it.

You could check out Nominatim; it might offer what you need for place data.
Have you looked into OpenStreetMap? I'm not sure about the quality of their data or if they have an API, but it might be worth checking out if you haven't already!
Since you're looking for APIs, you might want to explore the HERE API too; they've got good documentation for geocoding and search.
