I recently bought a pre-built PC from Facebook Marketplace that has a Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB of RAM (2800 MHz), and an RX 580 (8GB). I've made some upgrades, including getting a new PSU (the Be Quiet Pure Power 12M 750W) because the original was unreliable. I also got a great deal on an RX 6800 (16GB) for $280. However, I'm currently gaming at 1080p, and I've noticed some bottleneck with my CPU. I'm planning to upgrade to a Ryzen 5 7600X and need advice on a new motherboard and RAM sticks as well. Here's my build link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pcjqMC

Solid upgrade! I’d recommend getting a budget air cooler like the Peerless Assassin or Hyper 212 instead of an AIO; the 7600X won’t require heavy cooling, so you can save some cash there. Also, check if you can keep your current case to save even more money. That RX 6800 deal is amazing! I've got a 6600XT, and I'm really envious of that performance.
Thanks for the advice! I'm mainly going for aesthetic appeal, so I might still consider the AIO. I'm also thinking about switching to a Ryzen 5 9600X instead.
Yeah, your setup should handle 1440p gaming at medium settings for newer titles just fine!
Thanks for the reassurance!
Your build looks great! If you go with 6000 CL30 RAM, that should work well. The Ryzen 9600X might be slightly cheaper and you can find good deals during Prime Day. Just a heads-up about the BIOS update; it could be intimidating, but it might save you some hassle in the long run.
I appreciate the input! Any suggestions for a good motherboard if I want to avoid updating the BIOS?
I agree, air cooling is definitely feasible. I have a midrange Thermalright with my 9900X3D. It’s nice but AIOs do tend to cool better. By the way, both the Peerless Assassin and Phantom Spirit are solid choices.
