I'm trying to log in to my AWS root account but I need to re-verify my phone number as part of the process. The website gives me a pin that I need to enter when I receive a call from AWS, but the robocaller isn't recognizing my DTMF tones when I input them through my phone app. It just tells me it didn't recognize the pin and hangs up. I've reached out to Customer Support, but they keep sending me the same response, redirecting me to their help documentation without actually helping me resolve the issue. I've confirmed my phone app works fine by testing it, so I'm caught in this frustrating loop. Does anyone have a way out of this?

Hey! Sorry to hear you're running into this problem logging into your AWS account. I’d recommend submitting a case specifically through the MFA contact form if you haven't done that yet. It really helps to send these issues to the right team who can assist with MFA-related troubles. Once you've got a new case ID, we can take a closer look and see how to help you further!
You might want to try forwarding the incoming calls to a different number that can recognize the DTMF tones. That could help you get the code more reliably. Just a thought!
I did that a few days ago and still haven’t heard anything back. I’m starting to get pretty worried.
