Hey everyone! I submitted my application for SES production access in the ap-south-1 region about four days ago. They mentioned that I'd hear back within 24 hours after providing all the necessary documents and use case info, but I still haven't received any updates. I'm curious if anyone knows how long it typically takes for a reply or how long it might take to get production access approved.

Sorry for the delay on your production access request! They usually get handled in the order they arrive. If you want to share your case ID, I can check that it’s been assigned and is being processed.

I don’t remember exactly, but it usually isn't quick unless you’ve got an enterprise support plan. Even with that, I only got quick responses by having my account manager step in. Typically, their first reply just asks for more info. I’ve had success providing extra details upfront, like outlining what I’m doing to keep SES usage safe. Here’s a rundown of the info I provide about my email practices: all emails are transactional, auto suppression is set up for bounces, and I limit my email volume to under 50k per day. It helps to have CloudWatch alarms set up too!

Just a few days back, I got my access approved for a 2-year-old account within three days!
