Hey everyone! I'm a total newbie to PC building and I want to make sure I'm on the right track. I've got a budget of $1500 and I want a setup that can handle Cyberpunk at 4K with around 50 fps. A fellow gamer recommended this build:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE
- Motherboard: MSI PRO B650M-P Micro ATX (but I'm thinking about switching to an ATX board)
- RAM: Silicon Power XPOWER Zenith Gaming 32 GB (2x16gb)
- Storage: Patriot P400 Lite 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME SSD
- GPU: Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB
- PSU: MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 750 W
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this build and any suggestions you might have that could improve it!

I suggest upgrading your PSU to at least 850W since that's generally recommended for most 9070 XT setups. Look for a motherboard that supports PCIe Gen 5, has Wi-Fi, and plenty of USB ports—something like a B850 would fit. Also, check your RAM's speed; aim for DDR5-6000 CL30 if you can!
You might want to aim for 60 fps instead of 50. If you disable path tracing, the 9070 XT can be decent for 4K gaming with DLSS set to quality. I have a 5080 and it plays Cyberpunk smoothly at high settings, so you should be fine as long as you tweak a few settings!
Got it! Thanks for the heads up.
Just a heads up, entry-level 4K gaming can be tricky. Many games struggle at 4K unless you avoid using ray tracing, so keep that in mind when planning your build!
This build should work for Cyberpunk at 4K, but don't count on using path tracing. You'll want to enable FSR and FG for better frame rates. I’ve got a 5080 and can achieve over 100 fps with some tweaks. With the 9070 XT, you might hit around the same fps if you do the same. Just keep in mind to adjust settings according to your expectations!
Thanks for the reassurance! I appreciate it.
Great tips, thanks! I’ll definitely consider those options.
