I was searching for playable versions of Lacey games when suddenly my phone popped up a warning saying I've been hacked. It claimed to have detected some hacked information and started directing me to a VPN service, which I can't afford. I'm really worried about this—what should I do?

Don't trust it! It's likely a fake alert aimed at getting you to download something. Just back out and don’t install anything from those links.

Yeah, most of those alerts are fake and part of a malware scam. You should clear your browser history and cookies, close the tab, and refresh your phone just to be safe.

Exactly, it’s often known as scareware. Just be careful not to click on anything suspicious!

Looks like a scam ad trying to push some VPN service. You might want to name and shame that VPN company for their shady tactics!

Do you happen to have a screenshot of the warning? It would help to understand more if it was an app notification or just a webpage popup.

It sounds like that warning is probably just a scam. A good first step is to restart your phone and see if it goes away.
